SLOGGING .....!!!

So here i am after quite a n. of days posting my status...well there s nothing much to post .... the heading itself defines my position....... slogging around this week without much progress.......completed 2 chapters from Arun Sharma......!!! but at a very slow pace......

Moreover got STAY HUNGRY STAY FOOLISH....WAT A BOOK..... i ve read it half and it has blown my mind honestly, this book has changed my mind of taking up entrepreneurship right after my engineering i.e after an yr... will think about MBA later..... as one of the person describes in the book, i also have got the keeda of entreprenuership.......!!!

So lets see wat course does my life take..... right now.....i really wanna start something , get into it...... try 2 make it big as many others....!!! and yaa i m ready to work hard on it.....!!!

Trying to get back my focus on CAT 2011 !!!

Back in Bussiness

Ok... so finally after appearing for the MTE's i m motivated enough to be back in business i.e CAT 2011, a little more motivated and dedicated (..???) as the time passing by..... started the week with PERCENTAGES from Arun Sharma... roght away LOD 1 and LOD 2 today...!!! gives a huge amount of confidence just by attempting...!!! Well right now i m just focussing on building my concepts and practising .... just to make sure i complete the book and get all the concepts till december.... so not paying much attention to my speed and accuracy...(don't know if it s right or not...) meanwhile also started going thru the the HINDU..(going thru..???)... will b making out time in the coming days of atleasting reading the editorials...!!!

So finally it s good to be back worling towards my goal CAT 2011 !!!

MTEeeeeezzzzz....!!!

i worte the 5th MTE s of my college lyf..... for those of u who r .....??? MTE are mid term exams.... no offence.....but the exam sucks.... i really dont understand wats the need to take these exams when u knw 90% of the jantaa dnt even care for 20% weightage.... there s hell lot of things to do other than prepare for MTE's .... anyways apperared for the famous Principle of software engineering..... exam...bet i can t manage aboe 10 or 12/50......dnt give a damn but inside i have an insecurity and guilt feeling y the fuck i cud'nt crack the exam.... lets come to the next ......Numerical analysis or simply maths.... never really prepared seriously for it. no practise...... so payed the price ..... forgot all fuckin formulas...... still managed to pull it thru to around 20/50...... lets hope for the best.....

have OS and AI day aftr tomorrow........sounds horriffiying... it is......!!! hope for the best

Holiday sucks !!!

One thing i discovered today ..which many of u will disagree to is that a holiday in the middle of the week sucks......!!!
Whole day at home was spent sleeping, watching tv.... and doing nothing productive.... could not study even thou have my practicals tomorrow..... neither did anything for CAT preparation.

The holiday today really demotivated me.... and also instilled in me a fear doubting my capabilities if i can crack CAT 2011 with this kinda attitude....which really scares me off.....!!!

Totally demotivated& depressed by the holiday today.....!!!

Progressing with Progressiosn.......!!!

LIFE IS A ONE WAY STREET...... THERE IS NO LOOKING BACK.

Hii all ..hw have u been.... after a long, lazy and enjoyable weekend which included no studies, just hanging out with my buddies, i m progressing towards CAT 2011... this time with progressions.... Started with the progressions chapter from ARUN SHARMA.... attempted LOD 1... will attempt LOD 2 later int he nite today ....thx to the inspiration from my best frnd DD..... will complete it tomorrow includeing the doubts from the two excercises and also a couple of block review tests.......
It feels really great to see oneself progressing towards his/her goal.....

Hope the enthusiasm continues to flow.....!!!

My T.I.M.E changing...!!!

kk.. well a decent week with all the tests and the assignments at the college...... everything went good..... Moreover, attended a class at T.I.M.E institute for CAT'11 . ..... a very nice experience..... was a pretty good class... and yaa i m planing to join it.....!!!

I hope it creates a stability in my preparation schedule.... for the next 1yr.. and help me to achieve my dream next yr. Till then, love and bye......!!!

I hate college studies..!!!

Sometimes what just tucks my mind is how the fuck i got into engineering studies...the other day one of my frnd made a talk that we r into nearly 70 lectures of this sem... dats wen i wondered..i ve wasted fucking 70 hrs.... listening??? to some stupid lectures which clearly goes above my head..... I ve not understood a single lecture till today ........ and ok it is posing as a hinderance to my prepration of CAT and i hate it..... i ve got like all the fucking assignments and test..... but yaa.. even the cgpa has to be maintained.......so have to study for the tests too but how..... i dnt even knw wat r my fucking subjects after 70 lectures..... soo my CAT prepapration ... (Arun Sharma......my apologises ) has taken a back seat rite now...... which i will be resuming at the earliest..... till then luv and bye

Decoding the Number System

Though i have heard the number system was invented in INDIa.......yet every year...lacs of aspiring management professionals... have to repeat learning to invent the whole number system as it appears to be one of the section with the highest weight age in the country's most dreaded test CAT...

Dats wat i m upto dese days and lemme tell u ...... number system can drive u mad .......fuck ur brains out.... at some stage.......
Arun Sharma's attempt to teach the young kids number system is great . hats off to him.....!!!

Apart from jokes and with the help of some dedicated friends... "DD", number system is coming off wuite good.... attempted LOD 1 - got around 75 % accuracy...... did some silly mistakes (and learnt from them ? :P)..... attempting LOD 2 .... it makes u mad at some point of time.... still will b completed by tomorrow... and will wind up the number system till sunday for sure....

It also gives a great feeling of confidence studying with buddies DD and ppl from PG ....
One thing that hpvers over my mind all the time is how to maintain consistency for yr... trying my best..... to do it and been successful till now.... Hope to continue like this..!!!

Weekend Mocking

hiii.... weekend was shortened to only 1 day sunday (thx to univ s policy of keeping sat also as a working day), u can t even relax all ur body parts in a day...

Still managed to appear for a admission test of TIME...... lemme say it was a good experience...... 100 questions to be attempted in 60 mins. it was a mix of easy andtough ques... i felt otherwise...... will get to know the result in a cpl of days.... so will think about joining the weekend batch for CAT 2011.

Moreover , gonna start with number system from Arun Sharma tomorrow onwards with some buddies..so i hope it will b fruitful..... everything and everyone seems to be getting into grrove....
lets hope for the best..
Spent the rest of the weekend with my best buddy rahul dua..... eating and hanging out.....

Completed attempting LOD 3 of averages form arun sharma...... attempted 35 out of 49 ques and secured an accuracy of 60% :( ....dnt knw if it is good or bad in LOD 3 ......!!!

anyways.......will start will Allegations tomorrow... and will complete it and also attempt the block review test till saturday......!!

Recharged after the weekend

hii guys.... had a lazy weekend...spent sleeping , watching a couple of movies and hanging around with my school buddy rahul...
Meanwhile, i completed the LOD 1 and LOD 2 also averages form Arun Sharma.... secured an accuracy of 70-75% in LOD 2.....
Also extended my goal... will complete the LOD 3 and the also the next chapter of Allegations and will also attempt the Block Review excercise by Saturday....

Tracking Progress....

Had a good day..... came back home tired (that i m always).... didnt read the newspaper....

I had started with the AVERAGES chapter from Arun Sharma.... learnt the concept in the past 2 days so started with LOD 1.... managed to attempt 40 ques in a decent tym..... got 29 correct..dat comes out to accuracy of arounf 75%....... dnt knw if it is good of not....!! still m trying my best...!!

$ 3rd year & 5th Sem takes off $

I landed into that year of my life which makes or breaks my career. 3rd yr is the most important year in the life of an engineering student and its not different for me. It s that year where i have to appear for my ultimate goal in life - CAT 2011.
As far as the college is concerned, i ve got a decent time table form which i get free at 3 everyday.
I v started on with practicing Quant anfd reading the HINDU everyday. This is my own effort for the next 3-4 months.
Also gonna appear for TIME mock on Sunday. If everything goes planned, i m planning to join weekend batch at TIME which will further accelerate my preparation.

My 1st Mock

hii... yesterday i gave my 1st mock CAT test. It was a scholarship test at an institute Bull's eye for CAT 2011. I just wanted to experience a mock and it would help me to know about the test pattern and help me analyze myself a bit.

Well i must say the experience was a good one. Started with DI followed by VA and then Maths.
Decently attempted the DI and the VA section, though i think i messed up in maths thats where i have to work i guess. i had no idea of the questions . Its not that i can't do maths but with time i think have lost all grip and it will need all the practice to get back so i have to work on maths.

VA was a decent attempt though there it also has to be improved a lot.

DI as they say have only scheme. PRACTICE. so i guess.... for DI just start practicing.
Overall. it was a good experience and gives me a bit of confidence to come in the flow for next yrs CAT.

Meeting old friends

met a couple of old friends today , my best buddies.... rahul dua and karan khara, my childhood bud..... sat fr a cpl of hrs .......had a talk abt our future.. wat everyone of us wanted to do..... was a long talk taking in every detail from our respective families to condition of india in 10 yrs........ seem to b confused btw 2 very good options - ias and mba...... good 2 see everyone gearing up for the future.....

well fortunately i have decided and i m clear till nw abt my CAT 2011 goal.... and then may b god willing settling in my dream city, dubai.........well dats way ahead. right now lets concentrate on d studying..... need to chalk out every day for the next 1yr...... i hope i can concentrate and make a well routine once i college starts and wrk hard........ and achieve my goal and fulfill my dream...

studied VA for say 2 hrs....
went thoroughly through the HINDU.......misanalysed (:p) an editorial....... though was a good attempt..... solved 5 parajumbles on PG.......

PG is a great help ......found out today....

hope to continue like this .... also have to start with QA but dont feel like....

An inspirational holiday

hii... posting after a long time. Spent a holiday for 15 days with my cousin place in dubai... which was total fun.. with a some great food, great place to hang out,some shopping, some really hot chicks....in short a perfect holiday to refresh my self from the regular indian routine.

Apart from the fun, i realised only way to get over there and live such a lifestyle would be a mba degree from one of the top 20 institutions from the country....

can't explain the motivation i got form there, the place , their royal and comfortable life .. and besides that wen i c myself there after say 4-5 yrs, the only thing that comes to my mind to achieve that is to crack CAT and get into one of those fantasy colleges.

So here i m fully motivated to start preparing for CAT 2011 in full force.
Before that, has to sort some things like preparing a time table, plan out the next one year how i have to go about preparing...will plan this in the coming tym

Half way through....& a start !!!

As the 4th semester comes to end, i m half way through my B.Tech degree. It s been a quite a journey full of ups and downs, achievements, failures and most importantly learning.

As i enter into my 3d yr, life has to get more serious and more focused. It's high time to start wrking hard towards my goal. Also with me have some dedicating buddies who r goona wrk hard with me towards our common goal

In the end i need to believe and see, it s gonna be an individual performance that will matter so need to buck myself up in the coming tym. Trying to give myself a week to start off perfectly towards CAT 2011. Will be starting with Quant Arun sharma and also regularly reading a couple of newspapers. Need to make a proper time table.

Life is full of surprises !!!

Hii...well my last post seemed like i was restless to give my last 2 exams..... a bomb dropped on me in the afternoon ..

Out of the 3 papers..... 2 were leaked .......so nw we have to appear for both of them...

So have 3 exams in the next 4 days....gave data structures today......went ok ok types.......i m happy to be out of it...!!! Still....ntwrking tomorrow and mechanics day after..... sounds dreadful......!!!

Gave my english exam ..... 3rd 1 .... yesterday... went good as normal..... well getting restless... just w8ing for friday.... for exams to finish .......... but still 2 of the toughest are left...... have DATA STRUCTURE tomorrow....one of the most dreaded.... have to study quite a bit to crack this one.... hoping for the best.....!!!

On the Move

hii... hw hav u been doing... i fell good about my maths exam.... it s one of the exams in the 2yrs of degree where i could actually solve the paper like i used to in the school....:p

Well at home also....lyf s rocking..enjoying 2 the fullest for the past 2 days... watched 3-4 movies, having some gr8 food..... relaxing.. as got my ENGLISH exam on monday...(don't really care...).. still i wonder if i could study some data structure on sunday.. dat would help me in the next exam

Last nite watched Rocket Singh..totally inspired by it... the way an entrepreneur develops.it motivated me to prepare for CAT and go to those one of the prestigious institutions of the country.....

Overall, lyf s being good.... and quite enjoyable..

Well..... have gotten over the fever now...... and also seems.. that i m studying for my end terms.(only seems..:p)

Did mechanics and maths..... rite now trying to see wat data structure consists of.....!!!

Sumtimes i just think.... next yr is gonna being my deciding year..... will have to wrk very very hard...... also will rolling in some xtra wrking mates....!!! and try to bell the CAT...!!!

Mission : maintaining 8.0 cgpa

Well i have started studying for my final exams. doesn't seem so tough.
There s another reason i have to start preparing early as during the exams, my parents and bro are going out fr vacations leaving me behind :(.
But still got some frnds :) who will not lemme study and there are other distractions a well :p.
So it's better to prepare right now and work towards maintaining my 8.0 cgpa.
